Mathematics is taught in seven lessons a week, divided between the two areas of Analysis and Analytical Geometry/Linear Algebra.
To start with, the class' knowledge is brought to the same level. Then, the main role of this mathematics teaching is to teach mathematical methods of thinking and working and how to use the specialist language, which is new for many students.
The content focuses on the following:
- The notion of a function and its particular characteristics
- Differential and integral calculations (with applications)
- Vectors and their linking options
Throughout the mathematics course, emphasis is put on the students recognising and understanding mathematical situations and contexts.
